Meditation is the practice of self-knowledge. At first, the mind is very active, and this is to be expected. As you practice, the mind becomes less the center of attention, and stillness is glimpsed..... When we access that still space on a regular basis, a sense of balance and tranquility emerges. We are better equipped to handle the day's madness, and find it easier to listen to the body's needs, communicate with family and coworkers, and we develop a deep sense of inner calm and poise.
Meditation does not have to be about rigid poses, boring music, and airy-fairy concepts. We will work together to develop a practice that is suited to your current situation (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual), and one that you will enjoy - it should not be a chore.
